Where should you start with your 6-string bass? How can you tackle it’s MANY challenges? I find my students are often overwhelmed when going from a 4-string bass to a 6-string, so in this video I give you 4 things to focus on to both get down the basics AND get going with the fun stuff too.

🧠CONCEPTS
Bass Rule...touch ALL of the strings ALL of the time
Lay your left hand flat over the strings
Lay your right thumb over the 3 lowest strings
Think about the notes on your 4-string bass
Learn the notes on the C and B-Strings
Learn to locate the strings by FEEL
Challenge yourself to learn 3-octave scales
252 possibilities for major scales and modes
Building chord shapes using the major scale
