Creating a TikTok playlist allows eligible creators to organize their public videos into themed collections, making it easier for viewers to navigate related content. Playlists are particularly useful for creators who produce series-style content, tutorials, or categorized videos. However, this feature is only available to select creators who meet specific requirements.
To qualify for TikTok playlists, your account must meet TikTok’s current eligibility criteria, which includes having at least 10,000 followers and being part of the Creator Program. The option may not appear if your account is still growing or hasn’t met the required engagement thresholds. TikTok gradually rolls out features based on region and account activity, so even eligible users may experience delays in access.
If your account is eligible, you can create a playlist in two main ways: from your profile or while posting a video. To create one from your profile, open the TikTok app and tap the profile icon in the bottom-right corner. Next, tap the menu icon (three lines) in the top-right corner and select “Creator tools” or “TikTok Studio” depending on your app version. Within TikTok Studio, look for the “Playlists” section. If visible, tap “Create playlist,” give it a name, and select from your existing public videos to add.
You can also create a playlist when uploading a new video. After filming or uploading, and before publishing, look for the “Add to playlist” option. You can either create a new playlist or add the video to an existing one.
Keep in mind, playlists only support public videos and are displayed at the top of your profile, just above the main video grid.
