During pregnancy ultrasound scan shows loop of cord around the neck of fetus. This is called as NUCHAL CORD. In most of the cases, there is no harm to mother or fetus if cord loops are loose around body of fetus but sometimes there are tight loops of umbilical cord around the neck or other body parts of fetus during pregnancy. Tight loops can cause problem to fetus and mother.
