YO-YO-YO, what up, what up? In this video you will find the last rap summary of the year, so it's time to argue in the comments 👀. 2025 was so packed with releases that I almost went crazy trying to listen to everything: from old school and underground grandpas to new school, AI-slope, investigations around Diddy and much more. In parallel, we listened to posthumous verses by Big L and Mac Miller, a new Mobb Deep release, the return of De La Soul, Slick Rick, Xzibit, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Joey Bada$$ and Chance The Rapper - in short, rap is alive and well. For this TOP, I listened to almost 60 rap albums of 2025 and at some point realized that it was almost impossible to cover everything - so I just made MY most subjective list of 10 releases that really stuck in my head. There is everything here: from the frantic thirty-song orgy of Playboi Carti - “Music” and the warm return of De La Soul - “Cabin In The Sky” to the technical southern rap of JID - “God Does Like Ugly” and the cartoonish-comic release from Bruiser Wolf & Harry Fraud - “Made By Dope”.
