Playing around with psuedo scratching the classic "Ahhh" sample on the MPC1000. Set the sample to a pad with "note on" mode so the sample only plays when the pad is held down (so you can cut it like with a crossfader), then set a Q-link slide to control the realtime pitch! It's not really scratching since there is no reverse portion of the sample and it always cuts from the start, but it gives a nice scratching effect. The Note Repeat button can give a cool stuttering effect too! Enjoy!
