Docker and Docker Compose Tutorial - Create Docker Containers
In this tutorial we will dockerize three applications, our Nodejs API, React App and Nginx Server. We will create a Dockerfile for all three parts of our app and then create a docker compose file to launch everything at once. We will also look into volumes and how we can develop our application locally in development mode in order to be able to see code changes instantly.
First we will start with creating a Dockerfile for our React application and explaining all the steps on the way. Then we will create a Dockerfile for our Nodejs API and then for the Nginx Server. We will also see why we need this configuration and how those apps can communicate by using the standard docker network created with docker compose.
