Panasonic Lumix S1 REAL WORLD TEST 2020 | The most underrated video camera?
For the last 6 months, we have been using the Panasonic Lumix S1 with a 24-105mm lens and we’re happy to share our real-world review with you! Spoiler: again and again it surprises us with all of the features. We’re a fan!

What we show from the Panasonic Lumix S1:
•• FRAME RATES ••
We tried 120 and 180 frames per second. In the skate park, we used 180 frames per second to show you guys the possibility of slow-motion.
•• AUTO-FOCUS ••
It’s impressive, but not as fast as a Sony or Canon... However, it does the job!
•• 10bit and 8bit ••
It films 10bit 4k (or in HD), and it’s an internal recording, so you do not have to have an external recedes to use these video formats. The difference between 10bit and 8bit video is that 10bit gives you that extra dynamic range, so in the post, you would have more room to play with the colours. You can put some strong colour grading and the picture wouldn’t fall apart!
•• STABILIZATION ••:
We zoomed all the way in, and we found that the stabilization was so good that it looks like the camera is set up on a tripod. The main reason for those crazy stabilization shots is that the camera has an inbuilt 6 stop stabilization and the lens has a stabilization as well. Besides, the body of the camera is a bit bigger than Sony or Canon, so the sensor has more space to move around inside the camera body.
•• TIME-LAPSE ••
It’s just so easy to set up the time-lapse and once you are done filming, the camera itself gives you an option to make a 4k video from the time-lapse. At the same time, it also saves your photos in RAW so you can edit in post.
•• LOW LIGHT TEST ••
Even if we pushed to ISO up to 10.000, the picture was still holding up.
