David C. Pack - Happy Sabbath Is Sin
I was talking to other former members of The Restored Church of God about words and phrases that were forbidden to use and even considered wrong / sinful. I came across this clip and remembered how saying "Happy Sabbath" was something we couldn't say. I see people use it all the time, and it always made me feel a type of way seeing it, but that was due to the brainwashing of being in The Restored Church of God for so long. I know there's nothing wrong with saying it, but the church always made us feel shame and guilt doing anything THEY deemed wrong (but isn't).
It blows my mind that "Happy Sabbath" is viewed as wrong because Joseph Tkach used it in the Worldwide Church of God, and because of Tkach, Mr Pack "hates it." This is common in the Restored Church of God. If David C. Pack doesn't like something, he will teach that it is sin.
