How do you fit 8 processors and 96 RAM modules into a single compact 2U case? This is a server platform from Supermicro, housing four independent dual-socket systems (nodes) within a single chassis. Each node can be hot-removed and serviced during operation. All nodes connect to a single backplane via massive proprietary connectors, powered by narrow, half-meter-long 2000W power supplies that could easily be used for baseball.
