Zari Khanum, a homeless nomadic woman, returned to the mountains again; Where every stone smelled like magic. Her necklace was still in the wizard's hand and the spell was shaking like a thorn in her soul. At the bottom of the mountain, the farmer came forward angrily to drive him out, but when Zari spoke of the charm and the necklace, the man's color paled and he let him stay on his land for a while.
Zari started chasing again. Twice he saw the witch—once on top of the cliff, once down the mountain—but each time the witch disappeared like smoke. He returned tired and disappointed, but the cold night wind brought the sound of distant chains. Zari understood that the magician was near. He sat by the silent fire and swore in the darkness:
"I won't sleep tonight...I'll find it tonight."
