About Kosovo and the NATO Mission
The Alliance is heavily involved in Kosovo, where the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) has been deployed since June 1999.
KFOR's mission is to maintain a secure environment and to support international efforts to help establish stability, peace and democracy in Kosovo.
