When it comes to bending your guitar strings, you can’t just use the technique randomly and expect it to work. Besides needing a good feel and a little spark of intuition, if you don’t know what note you’re bending to, chances are that it’s going to sound wrong. This video focuses on practice methods for string bending (like bending to the right note every whole note, then switching it up to every quarter note), and on how to use it in a guitar solo context. Learn how to bend a half step up and a whole step up. This video comes from “Blues Guitar,” a Berklee Online course written by Michael Williams.
