Toyota Techstream for ALL Windows | How to Install and get it WORKING Everytime
In this video I walk you through how you get Toyota Techstream to communicate with any Toyota motor vehicle that has an OBDII port. I use my Landcruiser 200 Series as an example, but it works on all Toyota models. I’m using Microsoft Windows 11, but works on Microsoft Windows 10 and earlier versions.
Techstream and the Mini VCI cable that connect to your Toyotas OBDII port were both designed to operate in a 32 bit environment. Most modern computer operating systems are 64 bit and this creates communication errors between the computer and Mini VCI cable.
In this video I install a 32 bit operating system within my 64 bit Windows operating system using a Virtual Box. From there I install Toyota Techstream onto Windows XP running in the Virtual Box.
This is a great solution to get a consistent and problem free linkage between your laptop, through your OBDII port reader, to the Toyota ECU systems.
