Our information link shows the features and benefits of the whole DP2000e series of two-way radio handsets.
In this video the DP2400e (NKP) model that does not have any keypad is under scrutiny, but the DP2600e does have a reduced size keyboard. This whole series of two way radios is designed to be an unit for business use and can withstand being operated in harsh conditions.
An extract from our review:
The Motorola MOTOTRBO DP2000e series is a productive and connected solution when in use. Included in the box are the manuals, an accessory sheet, a solutions sheet and another manual. For hardware there's the radio itself, a belt clip, a blanking plate and dust cover assembly. The dust cover is used for blanking off when you're not using this accessory connector and it is supplied as standard. The antenna screws on the top of the radio is also included.
Looking at the DP2400e as you can see on the top of the radio there is an on and off and a channel selector; the on and off has got the volume on it of course using a dual concentric control. There is a PTT button a couple of other little buttons down on the left side plus the accessory connection on the right hand side of the radio.
The DP2000e series (DP2400e is this one in the video) notice there's no display on this model and there's no keypad either; there's an alternative model that does include a display and does include a keypad but it all depends if you need the keypad and display for your use; this unit does come in VHF and UHF models and it's a fairly robust device; it feels really good in the hands and is not too heavy. One thing about Motorola is they're always built very well - there is none of these cheap Chinese no-brand products have ever made quite like this and up to this standard from what we see in LRS UK.
The supplied battery will give you many hours of use; there's a dynamic evolution going on with mototrbo digital two-way radios; you're better connected safer and more efficient and the DP2000e series is designed for the everyday worker who needs effective communications with system support and loud clear audio. The audio is probably as good as you will find in this price range.
Some of the features:
UHF digital and/or analogue radio dual
Operation in digital DMR or analogue PMR
16 channels
Allows easy analogue-digital migration
Rugged IP67 standards
Rotary channel switch
2 programmable side buttons
Automatic suppression of ambient noise and sound enhancement built right in to the device
The warranty isa strong two years - its one of the reasons we sell this series of radios.
