Anime Central (UK) Promo Music - 2007-08
Anime Central was a UK free-to-air channel broadcasting on Sky Channel 199 throughout 2007-08. It was owned by CSC Media Group and was the only UK TV channel solely dedicated to anime. It launched on 13 September 2007.
The channel had aired a series of dubbed and subbed repeats of anime programming such as 'Bleach', 'Fullmetal Alchemist', 'Cowboy Bebop', 'Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex', & 'Wolf's Rain', to name a few. These would include 6 episodes from 6 different series to form a 3-hour block, which would repeat every 3 hours from 9pm until 6am.
This varied schedule in 2008 was reduced to three show double bills, then triple bills of Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. The channel abruptly closed on 27 August 2008, although it survived in the form of a block on CSC's showcase channel 'Showcase TV', retaining the triple bills. The block disappeared completely in August 2009.
This is the promo music used as the 'theme' for Anime Central, the music was by Ink Wilson and Gavin Thomson.
