Meet the scientists at Purdue University who just discovered how to genetically transform Plantago, a weed you've probably seen growing out of cracks in the pavement. Its genes hold the secrets to how plants can survive in super stressful environments, and scientists in the Zhang & Zhou Labs are hoping to unlock those secrets to help crop plants.
