This is a tutorial on painting Daz3d's Genesis 3 figures in 3D Coat. It is longer because this is an involved subject. I've been asked for this repeatedly and I keep putting it off because one, it's really only of interest to those interested in doing commercial 3D, and two, it is a bit tedious at the best of times.
Before you start you need:
3D Coat
The GIMP, PhotoShop, or another 2D editor (for cleanup and touchups)
Photo resources for the thing you want to texture (in this case a human male, I bought photos from 3d.sk)
I'm going to cover geografts separately at a future point because of both the unique challenges that they pose and the fact that I can't show the gens on YouTube, so I'll have to find a different graft to use for that tutorial.
