In this video we have to remove the props from the Lockheed in order to do the work for AD 81-13-06 R2 which is required every 18 months. If no corrosion is found then you can extend it out to 60 months which is the plan.
Our Lockheed as well as the Beech 18, which will also need this done, are almost always stored in a hanger and rarely get rained on. The issue is with water collecting under the plastic ring that wraps the prop and then causing corrosion that you can't see without taking it all apart.
While the props are off we also sent the hubs off to have them inspected and a new CAD plating put on them.
