The Canon EOS 100D will also be viewed as its main drawback by some potential users - shrinking the overall package has inevitably led to some compromises in terms of the ergonomics, most notably the handgrip. We could only fit a couple of our average-sized fingers around the grip, with a little finger supporting the base of the camera, which doesn't offer as much support as usual. This is fine when the EOS 100D is fitted with a small lens like the EF 40mm pancake that we had in for testing, but is insufficient for some of the bigger and heavier EF lenses. Still, at least the camera is compatible with Canon's vast range of EF-S and EF lenses - you're definitely spoilt for choice in this regard.
