Last Day in Long Beach: Sublime Mural & Sunset at Junipero Beach
Welcome back to Yesterday's Tomorrow! Before we embark on the inaugural sailing of the Carnival Firenze, we make the most of our final day in Long Beach, California, by exploring some of the city's best food spots, scenic beaches, and hidden gems!
Our adventure begins in Belmont Heights, where we grab some refreshing açaí bowls, enjoy delicious macaroons, and revisit one of our favorite spots—Osaka Story—for another round of incredible Japanese cuisine. This area is a must-visit for any food lover! Next, we visit the iconic Sublime Memorial Mural to snap some photos and pay homage to one of the most legendary bands from Long Beach. If you're a fan of Sublime, this mural is a must-see!
A short walk from the mural brings us to Rosie’s Dog Beach, where we capture stunning shots with the Long Beach Pier in the background. This beach is a great spot to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze! As the day winds down, we head to Junipero Beach Park to watch a breathtaking sunset over the Pacific Ocean. We also take the opportunity to film a time-lapse, capturing the stunning colors of the sky.
Back at the Maya Hotel, we pack our bags for our upcoming Carnival Firenze cruise and unwind with a relaxing swim in the climate-controlled pool. The view of downtown Long Beach’s skyline makes for the perfect way to end our time in this amazing city!
