Here I demonstrate the benefit of shooting footage in 4k UHD even if you're outputting your final project at 1080P resolution. In addition to using the Ken Burns effect for pan and zoom I show a simple crop into a tighter shot. This makes it look like a two camera shoot. Because the 4k footage is four times as large we can crop in quite a bit and still have full 1080P quality in the final video. We can also mix in some 1080P footage. In this demo I pulled in some footage that was shot at 120fps on my Panasonic FZ1000 which played back at 30fps gives us 1/4 speed slow motion.
