Dr. Goh Hsiao Mei obtained her PhD in Cultural Heritage Management and Archaeology from Adelaide, South Australia. Being born and grew up in Penang, she received her early tertiary education in Universiti Sains Malaysia, majoring in communication study. Her enthusiasm and passion in exploring human past led her to pursue her dream in the field of archaeology and she is now an archaeologist affiliated to Centre for Global Archaeological Research in USM. She has been actively engaged in archaeological and heritage projects over the past decade and her current work mainly focuses on the conservation and management of the archaeological cave sites through site planning and scientific conservation, and local community-driven conservation projects.
