My Name is Gil and I am the CEO and co-founder of NoviSign. I am very excited to show you our latest feature in the NoviSign Digital signage system. Which is RFID Support. It is exiting because before I started NoviSign I was working for AeroScout which were leaders in WiFi RFID and today I merge between the last 5 years of signage and the 7 years before in AeroScout all in this short demo of 2 minutes

What is RFID – Radio frequency identification. Tag putting a tag on an object with a unique ID enable you to read it via radio wave from a reader. There are active RFID tags and Passive RFID tags. Active are tags with battery witch have better performance and longer range. You will get better performance with the Active tags however they are more expensive + need to manage batteries. Passive tags are cheaper smaller but lower range and less capabilities.
With RFID you can get exact location of a tag, presence in a room, passing near a gate or just been position near a reader.
So in this demo we simulated a flower shop in Texas USA. In any other case at a flower shop you can enjoy the nice flowers and plants however if you like to find more information on the plant you will need to wait for someone to approach you with more information. Using NoviSign Digital Signage with RFID you can set a great new experience for your customer. Putting up screens around the shop the customer can view live social promotion information while if they like to find more about and object flower/plant all what they need to do is to put the item near the RFID reader and immediately more information would popup on the NoviSign digital signage screen. So how does it work? What we have here, TV, signage Player, RFID Reader, Passive RFID Tags. Once the tag is near the reader the reader will send an event to the NoviSign player, the player would interrupt the playlist and show the relevant information on the screen.
