If you’re anything like me, you love online shopping for its ease and convenience. Unsurprisingly, I also love to save money and like to make sure I know I’m getting the best deal possible. This is why I love using Wikibuy.
When it comes to making or saving money, one of the easiest ways is with Wikibuy. Simply put, it is a free coupon and rewards app that will help you save money and earn rewards for online shopping. I love being able to save money on something I was planning to do anyway. Wikibuy comes as a browser extension and a mobile app. It was recently acquired by Capital One, and they have millions of members who have collectively saved over $50 million using the tool.
There are a few different ways you can use Wikibuy to make or save money:
🆓 Automatic coupons. Once you have the extension, any time you’re shopping on a site that offers coupons or credits with Wikibuy, you’ll get a helpful pop-up notification at checkout that prompts you to try coupon codes. When you click the button for coupons, Wikibuy will scan through each one automatically to see which gives you the best deal (similar to getting cashback ,except the coupon is applied pre-purchase).
🛒 Shopping on Amazon. Another perk to Wikibuy is with Amazon. When shopping on Amazon, the Wikibuy extension will make sure that you’re getting a good deal, or if another merchant or site has it at a better price.
🔎 Watchlist. Another Amazon-specific feature of Wikibuy is the Watchlist. If you’re browsing Amazon and you’ve found an item you like with a price you don’t, you can click the “W+” button to add it to your watchlist. Wikibuy will track the price for that item - on Amazon and at other retailers - for 60 days and let you know if the price drops or if it finds a better deal.
💳 Earn gift cards. You can redeem Wikibuy credits for gift cards. Whenever you redeem an offer with Wikibuy, it’ll show up as a “credit” in your account. So if you make a $100 purchase with a 5% reward, you’ll receive $5 in Wikibuy credit.
🕵️ Search on Wikibuy. If you already know what you want to buy, you can search for it directly on Wikibuy or by clicking the browser extension and typing in the search box. Your search will take you to Wikibuy’s website, where you can filter options by price and brand.
The great news is that Wikibuy is completely FREE to use! They do collect some of your personal information to use to provide you with additional ads and offerings, but Wikibuy is a legit company!
Another coupon app is Honey 🍯. You can also download Honey as a browser extension, and it will automatically add coupons at checkout. It also works with Amazon to help you get the lowest price on the platform. But it only works with Amazon and won’t browse other websites like Wikibuy does.
