Emergency Landing on Northwest 849 in Amsterdam
Northwest flight 849 from Rome to New York lands on runway 18R at Amsterdam Schiphol after having to divert due to a mechanical problem. Originally the pilot said there was something wrong with a backup system, but it turned out to a Hydraulic fluids leak. You can tell there was something wrong with the hydraulics when two of the airbrakes did not extend. Also, this was one of the smoothest landings I have ever experienced. Taken from seat 34J on N820NW, a Northwest Airlines A330-300 with NWA flight crew.
