The Importance of Crawling for Baby
Crawling is a major milestone in Baby's development! It unlocks a whole new world of exploration and independence — and it supports so much more than just movement!
Before Baby masters crawling, this skill is quietly building abilities across many areas of development:
Sensory — Different surfaces offer new textures and experiences
Play — More freedom to explore and reach toys independently
Executive Function — Problem-solving, like figuring out how to get across the room
Fine Motor — Stretching fingers to prep for utensils, drawing, and play

Try these tips to help Baby reach this 7–9 month milestone:
Do Tummy Time often
Place toys around Baby so they can pivot
Practice baby push-ups
Teach Baby to rock on hands and knees
Position toys just out of reach
