Duska Taseska was born in Prilep, Macedonia in 1938. After graduating from the High School of Music in Skopje, he led the artistic growth at the Music Academy in Zagreb, with prof. Rudolf Mac, and immediately afterwards from 1966 to 1969 in the world capital of art - Paris, by the famous cellist Eleftherios Papastavro. There at the Ecole Normale International Music Academy, she also completed her postgraduate studies and obtained a degree in Concert Violin. Her return to her homeland is a continuous thread in her work, with numerous solo performances and orchestral performances on the domestic stage, then in the major cities of the former Yugoslavia, on concert stages in France, Russia, Romania, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Chile, Tunisia and numerous other international festivals.
"It should also be noted that together with the French cellist André Navarra, Duska Taseska is one of the founders of the modern cellist school in our country through the Faculty of Music in Skopje".
