Test & Review of Zoom H1 as an interview mic - Solving the wind and dork issues
Many do not realize that the Zoom H1 is a fantastic mic in its own right. But there are a couple of issues to be solved. First (and easiest) is the "dork" issue. The Zoom H1 looks more like a taser than a mic!
Second, the Zoom H1 is absolutely terrible with any kind of wind. In this review we look at several possible wind solutions.
Finally we cover a few basic lessons learned from taking the Zoom H1 to a local park on a very windy day. Also included is a short example of an interview on Lake Victoria in Tanzania, Africa.
