OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine)
Your child is required to take both OPV and IPV to enhance protection and immunity against Polio. OPV enhances the mucosal immunity of the patient and IPV stimulates the production of antibodies. The first dose of the Oral Polio Vaccine is administered at birth orally (2 drops are administered orally via the mouth). Your child is required to take 4 doses of OPV in total; at birth, 6 weeks, 10 weeks, and 14 weeks.
