Roy Jones Jr. remembers his fight with super middleweight champion James Toney on November 18, 1994. Before stepping into the ring, Roy noticed that Toney would sometimes copy his moves against other fighters. The first three rounds were tough, as Toney came at him with everything. But then, Roy pulled out his now-famous “Rooster Move,” dropping Toney to the canvas. From that moment, Toney’s confidence faded, and Roy went on to claim the IBF super middleweight title via unanimous decision.
