Mahdz - Minimum Wage BLM (Official Audio)
Hi guys this is the final part to the Minimum Wage 3 in 1 starter pack. How did we get here? Back in 2013-14 former F.W.E member (Splitz P) decided to lead a march from the Malcom X centre in St Pauls Bristol to the city centre. In order to protest the Atrocities that were being committed against Black people all over the World especially in inner city Community's, Meaning we (FWE) were some of the first and most Loyal Servant's of the original BLM movement. I think the actual event that triggered the march was a number of unarmed Black men who were Killed in cold blood that year in America, Not to mention emotions were still running high from the UK Riots a few years prior to that. Although no longer supporters of the BLM movement at the time (Splitz P) arranged a sound track to be recorded by a number of artists to express there feelings and to show solidarity & support for the many victims and there family's. The sound track however was never officially released, The Minimum Wage Poem was wrote for that particular project. What makes the 3 in 1 project so unique? I almost not intentionally predicted the future (How) we no that the BLM movement wasn't to protect and prevent these crimes from happening but to exploit ,commercialize & normalize them, Just like most things where Black people and Black Culture is concerned.10 years on same problems even worse results... The producer of the soundtrack (Genius Muzik) wanted a song not a Freestyle/Poem, In 2019 the BLM chorus was added to the Poem then remixed and mastered, Giving us Minimum Wage BLM.
