The Dell Latitude E7240 is certified by Google to be totally compatible with ChromeOS Flex.

And after a quick 8 minute install time, Flex does impress on this laptop. It loads and reacts very quickly and all of the hardware works as it should- the sound is clear, the display is crisp and wi-fi and bluetooth function without any hiccups.

However, there were a couple of obstacles that I needed to overcome.

Firstly the USB stick that I had a copy of Flex on suddenly stopped working after the install and I couldn't understand why until I realised that the USB stick was made by SanDisk and Google doesn't recommend using these sticks as installers.

Then on the restart after the first stage of the installation process, I had a error message about an invalid partition table. But there is an easy solution to this in the video.
