1. Holding the cursor over the start or end of your clip and left clicking and holding to drag and trim the clip as required.
2. Looking at common issues where you may not be able to see the start or end of a clip and solutions to these problems (either dragging your footage across the timeline to reveal the start or end, or increasing the duration of your composition).
3. Using the 'Split Layer' option which is found under 'Edit' in the Menu, to cut a clip at the point you've positioned the playhead, which then splits your clip into two layers cut at playhead. You can delete sections you no longer need.
