Basic rules for design of column
This video shows some basic rules for design of column. Some of these rules are;
1. The area of longitudinal steel bar should be less than 8% and greater than1%.
2. The minimum number of steel bars in case of square or rectangular column should be 4 while in case of circular column it should be 6.
3. The maximum distance between the longitudinal bar should be equal or less than 6 inches.
