Hello everyone. Welcome to a new video on this channel. As I already promised in my last video when I was upgrading today's system from 4GB to 12GB of RAM, here's the Pentium Gold 7505, 12 GB of RAM, and integrated UHD Graphics in 21 of today's most-played games. Model-wise, we're using a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14ITL. If you haven't seen my previous video when I was upgrading the RAM, be sure to check that one out. There you can see that nobody should be using 4 GB of RAM in 2022. I'm going to link that one in the top right corner now.
But back to today's video. How did the Pentium Gold 7505 perform in games? Overall, pretty good considering the price of only 299 € in my country. This is really an OK system for light gaming in 2022. In fact, 19 out of 21 games have been more or less playable. Only Warzone and Apex Legends have been way too heavy for this little 15W TDP, 2 core, 4 thread system. Lost Ark has been one example that even due to low FPS, I'd still enjoy somehow playing it. PUBG has been running at an average of 25 FPS, but that's, in my opinion, only barely playable. In shooters, you want to get at least a 50FPS average.
The other 17 titles in this video ran really well.
You should only pay attention to using the Pentium Gold 7505 with dual-channel RAM, meaning 2 ram bars. And also be sure to run the latest available Intel driver. I already made a benchmark compilation video of this CPU in 18 games back in October 2021. Since then, there have been a couple of Intel driver updates. The performance has really improved compared to back then. In general, you can say keeping your Intel driver up to date is always a good idea.
So yes, all in all, if you're on a tight budget, you might consider the Pentium Gold 7505 for light gaming. I'd say if you can get one for around 300 euros or 350 dollars, this is really a good offer. Also, daily tasks like browsing the web, watching Netflix, or cutting and rendering this video aren't really a problem for this tiny little CPU.
That's it for my voiceover. I hope you're going to like this video. If you do, feel free to leave a like and consider subscribing to this channel. I'll hopefully see you all in the next one. Stay safe and have a great day. Goodbye.
