The GUI buttons of VS Code and the terminal are equivalent. You can use either method for the tutorials. If you the run and restart buttons in VS Code, you need to select the device from the lower-right-hand of VS Code. You must be in the same folder as your project (the folder with pubspec.yaml) to easily use the buttons.
