Search and Open: Click on the Windows icon in the taskbar and type "Disk Cleanup" in the search box. Select "Disk Cleanup" from the search results to open it.
Step 2: Select Drive
Choose Drive: Disk Cleanup will prompt you to select the drive you want to clean. Typically, this will be your system drive, usually labeled as "(C:)".
Select and Scan: Highlight the drive and click "OK". Disk Cleanup will scan your drive for unnecessary files.
Step 3: Cleanup Process
Check Boxes: Review the list of files and check the boxes next to the types of files you want to delete, including Temporary Internet Files and Temporary files.
Start Cleanup: Click on "OK" or "Delete Files" to initiate the cleanup process.
Step 4: Clear Browser Cache
Open Browser Settings: Launch your web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge) and navigate to its settings or preferences menu.
Clear Cache: Look for an option to clear browsing data or cache. Select the appropriate time range and types of data to clear, including cached images and files, browsing history, and cookies. Then proceed with the cleanup.
Step 5: Remove Temporary Files
Access Temp Folder: Press Win + R to open the "Run" dialog box. Type "%temp%" (without quotes) and press Enter to open the Temp folder.
Delete Contents: Select all files and folders in the Temp folder and delete them. Skip any files that cannot be deleted due to being in use.
Empty Recycle Bin: Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and select "Empty Recycle Bin" to permanently delete the files.
Step 6: Third-Party Cleanup Tools (Optional)
Consider Using Tools: You may consider using third-party cleanup tools like CCleaner to automate and streamline the cleanup process further.
