Criminals damage ATM
The management of BSP Financial Group have expressed concerns on a break and enter incident at the Banz BSP Branch in Jiwaka.
BSP confirmed the break and enter incident, saying criminals damaged one of the banks ATM’s in the early hours of Monday 4th May 2021.
The criminals were unable to take the money after the security alarm went off, alerting security and police to the site.
BSP Group CEO, Robin Fleming said this is not the first time criminals have targeted BSP sub branches in the country.
A recent incident was at Kerowagi Rural sub branch in Simbu Province last month.
He called on leaders in Banz and Jiwaka to take ownership of their community and to create a conducive business environment. ****
In the meantime, the branch has resumed operations and police are investigating the incident.
