Hexagonal Architecture – What is it exactly? – Oliver Probst, X Developers Club
In the first part, we'll discuss typical problems in software development, how Conway's Law relates to them, and how different architectural approaches attempt to solve the problem.
Oliver has been tinkering and refining backend systems and their architectures for around 20 years. Having grown up at 1&1, he spent a long time at Arvato/Bertelsmann, and later at Experian, as a developer and software architect. He has now found his home at EnBW as a Lead Architect in the sales department.
He focuses on holistic concepts and tools to harmonize architecture with business logic and organization. Hexagonal architectures are an important piece of the puzzle for enabling autonomous teams with a clear business focus.
