We Built a TUBE AMPLIFIER With a handful of components in the @asbestomolesto Bunker
We built a tube amplifier with a handful of components in Asbesto's bunker. An exciting journey that led to the creation of a little electromagnetic gem. Starting with a simple ECL82 tube (triode + pentode), we built (asbestos did 90% of the work) a circuit capable of amplifying an audio signal through a thermionic tube. A thermionic tube is a vacuum-filled glass tube. When the tube is powered, an electronic cloud is generated that can be set in motion by a high anode voltage. In this video, recorded in Asbesto's laboratory (the Bunker, or rather "the Dammuso"), we first talked about tubes in general, their history, characteristics, and types (diode, triode, tetrode, pentode, etc.), then we explained the origins and structure of the tube amplifier.
