So, there you have it, the Xiaomi Mi5s Plus. The phone really impressed me in a lot of ways but it doesn’t mean it is perfect.
First of all, we have a well-crafted phone and the metal chassis sits nicely in the hand. Also, the phone has a brilliant display, some bleeding-edge specs that lead to a great day-to-day and 3D gaming performance.
Also, the dual-camera setup may not be the best if we compare it to the more expensive offerings but the Mi5s Plus is still a very capable performer.
Sure, some people may miss the microSD slot, because for some users 128GB of super-fast storage is still not enough.
Other shortcomings are more serious though. The lack of OIS leads to a poorer low-light performance and the Chinese ROM of MIUI comes with some bloatware, which may annoying for a regular user.
Other than that, the Xiaomi Mi5s Plus is very solid $400 phone. If you add a great battery life and feature-rich user interface, you are looking at the phone that is definitely one of the best devices in this price range.
