How to Import PDFs into InDesign: Learn how to import PDFs in InDesign, via two methods in the Adobe Creative Cloud application, as demonstrated in this video.
Ways to Import PDFs into InDesign:
1. Command-D (or Place an Image) and choose the PDF you want to import.
2. Window, Utilities, Scripts, and choose the “PlaceMultiPagePDF.applescript" to import multi-page PDFs.
NOTE: Both of these two methods work, but what you get might not be perfect. For instance, the PDF is like an image now. It will be flattened and not editable. No live text!
3. Alternative PDF import options can be handy for InDesigners. Markzware's stand-alone PDFMarkz application will convert your PDFs into totally new InDesign layouts, with all live text, fonts, styles, colors, objects, images, links, Tables, everything!
It is an amazing and great tool for graphic designers and prepress users. It is a better, or a true, import of a PDF into InDesign. Not just Placed, but a PDF converted to InDesign! That is how you import PDFs into InDesign, via Adobe or via Markzware PDFMarkz.
Markzware's stand-alone PDFMarkz (PDF to IDML) application replaces the PDF2DTP InDesign plug-in and allows users to open PDF files in InDesign, Affinity Publisher, and other formats:
