Harbor Porpoise 4-29-12 BLUE OCEAN WHALE WATCHING MONTEREY BAY
A pod of around 100 harbor porpoise buzzed around the boat as we sat in neutral. Harbor porpoise are famous for being shy, but they continuously approached the boat and swam beside some very delighted passengers.
Harbor porpoise are the smallest cetaceans on the west coast of North America, reaching only 5 feet long when fully grown.
