For extracting the hex data off the ecu we used the JMgarageFlasher software. Galleto is also known to work for most BMW ecu's.
For actually adjusting and reading the information we used RomRaider and Tuner Pro. You will need an existing .xml or .xdf file that corresponds with your ecu(easily found online).
