We live in an amazing time! I grew up with the classic Casio CZ synthesizers and the new Virtual CZ synth from PluginBoutique is like being teleported back in time. It brings the classic sounds of phase distortion synthesis, quality and user experience into the modern age and even allows you to work in tandem with the original hardware devices from Casio!
It's very easy to give a synth like this one our seal of approval, because there is so much attention to detail and an obvious passion to capture the magic of the original synths of the mid-to-late-80s. So many iconic bands used these keyboards and their sounds helped to shape much of what's great about modern music today. So having a plugin like Virtual CZ in the sonic arsenal is priceless.
A couple of new features have been added to Virtual CZ to bring this beauty up-to-date for modern music production needs, but it is a near-perfect reproduction of the originals, including the sound quality. If you are a purest, you can easily load and manage synth patches for your hardware devices in a matter of clicks, using the standard SYSEX preset format.
