Thanks to EA constantly messing with its launcher, Steam Deck users are constantly having their games stop working via Steam. The solution is to purge your proton files which also takes your game saves with you.
If you're constantly backing up your saves (or even other things like non-steam shaders), you know it can be a tedious process.
In this video, we adopt a technique to make backing up your commonly-disabled game saves (thanks EA).
Note: Mouse and keyboard are recommended and if you aren't already using Shortix, I recommend you adopt that as it will help you out here A LOT. We will cover the "manual" way briefly, but Shortix is great. You may want to run through my Dolphin File Manager Tricks and Tips as this video has some assumed configurations from that video.
