DaVinci Resolve 21 made some huge improvements to speed ramping… but after using it heavily for real-world edits and generating millions of views with speed ramp videos, I’ve also found some major workflow issues that still need fixing. In this video, I break down what’s currently broken, what actually works really well, and most importantly — how I think Blackmagic could redesign speed ramping to make it faster, more intuitive, and significantly better for editors. From better spline controls and snapping to saveable presets and UI improvements, these are the speed ramping updates I’d love to see inside of DaVinci Resolve.
