According to research published in the "Journal of the American College of Cardiology" in 2015, the countries with the highest incidence of heart disease are in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central Asia, and Western and Central Europe.
The #disease is also seen at high rates in Iraq, Afghanistan and some South Pacific islands.
While the #USA, #Canada, #Australia, #japan and South Korea have seen a large decrease in deaths due to heart diseases, this rate has decreased in the last 20 years in #Western #Europe.
The lowest incidence of heart disease is seen in prosperous Asian countries such as Singapore, Japan, and South Korea. Some South American countries such as Chile and #Argentina also have low rates, especially in terms of heart disease.
The countries with the lowest mortality rates due to this disease in the world are Andorra, #France, #Israel, #Japan, Peru and #Spain.
