Storms can terrify and try to steal your peace. When the storms of life threaten, look to Jesus who exceeds expectations by going all in to give peace; because He is the missing piece, your Savior. Mark 4:35-41. July 14, 2024. Vicar Zachary Neumann. holyword.net

Sermon study questions for Connect Group discussion, and for personal reflection:
1. Looking at the context and verse 38, what made Jesus go away from where the crowds were, to the other side of the Sea of Galilee? What does that tell us about Jesus and about ourselves?
2. Why such harsh words from the disciples in verse 38? Look at how they address him.
3. Compare the disciples' attitudes during the storm versus Jesus. Why is Jesus so disappointed?
4. Does Jesus always calm storms in this life? Look at Acts 27:27-28:5. Why would God allow storms in our lives for a time?
5. How do we lean on the Lord when storms come in this life?
