Ovarian cysts: Do you know the symptoms? Do you know how to resolve them naturally?

This is Angela Xavier, and I'll explain the symptoms of ovarian cysts and show you natural solutions. Stay with me until the end of the video so you don't miss anything.

An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms in or around the ovary and can cause pelvic pain, delayed menstruation, or difficulty getting pregnant. Generally, an ovarian cyst is benign and can disappear within a few months without treatment, but if you experience symptoms, it's best to see a doctor.

In fact, having an ovarian cyst is usually not serious; it's a common condition that affects many women between the ages of 15 and 35, and can recur several times throughout life.

Symptoms - An ovarian cyst doesn't always present symptoms, only when the cyst is larger than 3 cm.
Pain in the ovary on the side of the cyst;
Pain during ovulation;
Pain during sexual intercourse;
Delayed menstruation;
Increased breast tenderness;
Vaginal bleeding outside of the menstrual period;
Weight gain;
Difficulty getting pregnant.

Note: Many of these symptoms are present in PMS, so to confirm the diagnosis, a gynecologist must perform physical and imaging exams to identify the presence of the cyst, its characteristics, and type.

How can an ovarian cyst make it difficult to get pregnant? I said "it makes it difficult," not that it causes infertility.

After all, one in four women have this problem, so they don't cause infertility, they just make it difficult to get pregnant.

This happens because ovarian cysts cause hormonal changes, changes in ovulation, irregular or absent menstruation. Therefore, when cysts remain in the ovaries for a long time, they can hinder new ovulations.

Some people wonder if an ovarian cyst is cancer?
An ovarian cyst is not usually cancerous; it's simply a problem that can disappear on its own or be removed surgically if it's very large, avoiding the risk of rupture or causing significant pain and discomfort. Ovarian cancer is more common in women over 50, being very rare in women under 30.

A cyst with cancerous characteristics is usually large, with a thick septum, and a solid area. If suspected, the doctor orders a blood test (CA 125). If the result is very high, it may indicate a cancerous lesion, but it may also not be cancerous, as women with ovarian endometrioma can also have elevated CA 125.

An ovarian cyst can be diagnosed through a simple pelvic exam. However, to determine the size and type of the cyst, the doctor uses other tests, such as:

Pregnancy test: If positive, the cyst is a luteal cyst. - Pelvic ultrasound: This imaging test will allow the doctor to identify the size of the cyst and its composition (whether it is solid, fluid, mixed, etc.).
Laparoscopy: The doctor uses a device to examine the ovarian area more closely to locate the cyst.
